Hey the lawn needs to be Mowed

Today I mowed the lawn. This served two purposes. First Shawn had worked swing in the ER, and needed to sleep without the kids waking him up. Second, the lawn hadn't been mowed in over a month.
Now all of you from Utah are probably thinking our yard looked like an over grown jungle. Well out here in Minnesota, if you rent you don't have lush cushy grass. It's more like a field grass with a few mole hills. We are one of the luckier renters whose Landlords pay to have the yard sprayed for weeds.
Anyhow, I took it upon myself to mow. I fired up the ol' gal and put'er to work. I had started mowing the north side of the house and after the first lane notice a Toad hunched down in the grass. I called the kids over, and thought what great entertainment to keep them busy. I then round to the back and under the deck we usually will see a few toads, well today they got a bit to close to the mower. Can you say frog leg soup. So sick, a massacer. Then after I screamed it off, I began again and was stopped by a Salamander. This is when I called it quits.
The grass can wait till next year.
