Rochester Fest

We decided to head downtown and have a peek to what all was going on. This week is Rochester Fest. And the city is loaded with lots of activity. My kids were hoping for some carnival rides, and to their disappointment, and our delight there weren't any.

As we quickly found out, most of Rochester Fest is centered around Fried Foods, and anything on a Stick! I thought only corndogs came on sticks, sadly mistaken.

Apparently there are many foods like, fried peaches on a stick, PORKCHOP on a stick!, corn on a stick, TACO on a stick, fried cheese curds, cheesecake on a stick the list is never ending.

At some moments during our outing we thought it might have been a great idea to bring blindfolds for the kids, and Shawn. Those town folk come out in all their BEST clothes, and ready to show IT off!!!!!!!

Rochester Fest is over, and it was a great Mid-west experience. The kids had fun going to the balloon launches, and seeing the balloon men blow fire in the air. the parade was something to talk about...not in a good way. The on lookers were more of an attraction then the parade participants, but one of the band conductors sure stuck out in our minds! (see picture)

We hear the county fair is coming next month, and I know we wont be disappointed.
