Sundance skiing

Shawn sweet talked Grandma and Grandpa McManus into watching the youngens and so we headed for the mountain tops of our neighborhood ski resort Sundance.

The last time Shawn and I went skiing together was over 10 years ago, so with a bit of care we plunged right in. I tell you it was like I was 20 something agian. Until my knee started to ache, and the weather was a bit chill in the morning. We decided we liked the upper slopes, where only the black diamond slopes are found. And a few blue ez which we stuck to. We also found a favorite mogle slope that we finally mastered at the end of the day. We had such a great time, and the one continuing thought that went thru my mind is....we have got to get the kids up here and teach them this fun sport. I am so happy that Shawn and I got to spend a perfect day together.
With only one wipe out, guess who.

Love is in the Air

What a fantastic Holiday. This is a great day to express our
love and appreciation for each other, and in creative ways.
I LOVE my family and I am so lucky to be a part of them.

Sunday a day of Sledding

Today we had Stake Confrence, and with kids it is was usual. But we know we were at the right place doing what we should, and watching in envy of the other families with grown kids who actually are getting a spiritual message out of this caotic 2 hour meeting.

So after lunch and naps we rewarded ourselves with a fun day out of sledding with the cousins.

For all of you wondering where Kennedy is, well she spent the day with Grandma McManus, and had a good time making bread; yummo which we enjoyed for dinner.
What a great family day making memories that will last a lifetime.
