Wheww. I haven't been able to up date our site due to the fact that we (Shawn, Me, Mave, and Finn) have been state hopping for Residency interviews.
First stop was Boise, Idaho. We both had high hopes for this town and Residency. The town was great and when Shawn interviewed he got some different vibes. He actually interviewed at two; Boise, then a rural one in Crandal which he liked. The drive was nice and sweet, and the two kids had a blast in the hotel pool.
Then after two days of Holiday Inn Express the kids had come down with cabin fever and it was time to head back home, wash the clothes then repack for our trip to Arizona.
We started our Arizona journey out in the wee hours of the morn, around 4:45 and headed off for the airport. What a better time to head for sunny AZ then when an Arctic belt is coming thru Utah. Maverick was absolutely thrilled to board the plane. He didn't hesitate to walk right into the cockpit and check out all the buttons. The pilots chatted it up with him and he came out grinning from ear to ear.Maverick with his nosed pressed against the window, getting a full view of our take off and landing. He yelled Blast Off when we sped up and took to the open skies.Thanks to my Nephew Russell, who served his mission in AZ, we were able to eat at some great AZ restaurants. We hit Waldos BBQ when we arrived, and then as a send off before we left.
Finley and I are such happy ladies when fed. And with Willey Nelson sitting right behind us. (take a close look!)
The kids were jumping for joy, once we reached Mesa, where we stayed with cousins. Mark and Jamie were so kind to let us invade their home. It was so much nicer than the Holiday Inn. Jamie was a great tourist guide and did her best to convince us on moving to Arizona. We took a drive out to Jordan & Shannon's resort home, which is beautiful. If you ever get the chance I highly advise you to invite yourself out.
We have worn ourselves out. Shawn is heading off to Minnesota next week and that will wind up the interviews. For now, it's good to be home.
