Ventura

Were does the sun always shine? In sunny California. Shawn just returned from one of his many interviews. This one was in Ventura, Ca. I really like the "idea" of this one. Almost everything sounds good. 5 min. to the beach, my kids could turn in their snow clothes for a surfboard. And orange, and lemon trees in the backyard. The cost of living in out of control, and we think, maybe we could teach our kids how to fish off the pier and catch dinner. One more thing to add to our prayer list. While there, Shawn was able to meet up with his Aunt Desi and Uncle Jay. They went to Shawn's old neighborhood, and if you can believe, Jay and Shawn threw a football on the street right in front of his childhood home. What a reminiscent time.
They visited the Ronald Reagan Library, when he told me this over the phone, I thought, "why", now seeing some of the pictures I say, when are we going back. Shawn always hoped, and told his parents he was a son of Ron Regan, and he was adopted out, so this probably seemed like going home. One more stop was to his brothers grave site, in Simi Valley, Ca. I am sure this was a highlight to the whole trip. Time is passing and as he interviews at more Residencies I think we just get more excited, and also with that comes confusion of where we should choose for living, work, and possibly to plant some roots. This week I and the two young ones are going to Boise, Id. for an interview. Then were off to Phoenix, Az. and a couple more follow.
Seems like life is one big field trip, and we will soon know where our bus will stop.
